This is the most fun weekend in recent memory. I went to parties, marched in the parade (so many Frida Kahlos!), took a trip to the park. Also we ate Vietnamese food and watched the very end of the World Series (Roo lost his incredibly goofy bet, poor guy).

If you used to play an instrument a long time ago and you get a chance to play with other people again, do it. It's even more fun than you remember.
Also, the new park by Palmer Events Center is cool. There's a great hill and a dancing fountain thing and interesting landscaping. All it needs is a Jim-Jim's Water-Ice stand to make it damn near idyllic.
