It's 3:30 in the morning. I have to be at work at four tomorrow. If I stay up for another hour and a half I'll get eight hours of sleep and still wake up in time for three hours of coffee, errands, and staring off into space. Plus Eric bartends, so while I'm working this shift we get to have one of those real-people style relationships in which we eat dinner together and sleep in the same bed every night. Revolution!
The only drawback, a fairly major one, is that a lot of my friends work during the day. I won't get to see them at all during the week. But I'll see them on the weekends, at least until work gets really busy later in the spring. On the whole, I'm delighted. The first day I worked this shift last week, I couldn't stop smiling. It's that good.
