Until just now, I didn't know that equinox means "equal night." Huh.
Eric and I celebrated the last day of summer by going swimming in nearly deserted Deep Eddy Pool.
Sometimes we talk about moving, but the only cities we'd want to live in are up north. I don't know that I'd want to leave a place that has an outdoor pool open year-round. Even if I don't swim year-round, I like to know that I could if I wanted to.
Receptionista, who lives in Seattle, has compiled a list of good smells she associates with fall. Her list might make you hungry or wish you lived somewhere colder, but it's pretty fun to read.
So far this month all I've smelled is chlorine, bug spray, and sunscreen, but I like those smells just fine. It'll cool off here soon enough.
