Hot, hazy, uninspiring day. I keep spacing out on the computer screen. I'd stare out the window, but it's painfully cloudy-bright outside. It takes a while, but every summer there's a point when even the summer fun stuff I love to do--swim, buy popsicles, drink icy cocktails--becomes a tedious chore. While I'm grousing, let me also add that the plane ticket I was going to buy to visit my friend Vickie next month went from $271 to $363 in the four days it took me to confirm my flight plans with her. Also I oversalted my lunch and I need a haircut. The end.
